John Larson

John was born and raised in Spokane and graduated from Washington State University in 1980.  He has been with Richards Merrill since 1985.

As CEO and president, John’s knowledge of the industry and changing financial landscapes frames the direction of the firm.  John works to maintain and perpetuate a culture of “client first” in everything the firm does.

He values the relationships built over the years in preparing clients for retirement and executing on the client’s estate goals often perpetuating wealth to the next generation.

John is involved with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and the Innovia Foundation.  He is a past president of Rotary International and Manito Golf and Country Club and served on the board of trustees for the Centennial Trail.  He and his wife have three children and 7 grandchildren, and when time allows, they enjoy traveling, golfing, hiking and spendy quality time with family and friends.
